KSOC’s $6 Million Seed Round: the Kubernetes Detection and Response All Developers Need

We’re excited to support Kubernetes Security Operations Center (KSOC) in its $6M seed round along with .406 Ventures, Gula Tech Ventures, and well-renowned group of cloud infrastructure veterans.

At Vertex US, we invest often (and early!) in impressive and scrappy entrepreneurs like CEO Brooke Motta and CTO Jimmy Mesta. Both are well-regarded industry experts who’ve spent the last decade securing and scaling technology companies in the rapidly-growing Kubernetes environment. “Most organizations who leverage Kubernetes are also finding great difficulty in understanding the security of containerized infrastructure,” said Motta in her founder’s note here.

KSOC is taking a modern approach to Kubernetes Detection and Response (KDR) as well as Kubernetes Infrastructure Entitlements Management (KIEM) by building a more sound and secure environment for the growing industry.
